Green Infrastructure Planning

Here in the West Midlands our Regional Forestry Framework sets a high priority for Green Infrastructure Planning and the delivery plan outlines a range of actions to carry this forward.

Key players came together to review current policy and action on Green Infrastructure Planning in the West Midlands considering the opportunities for implementation and linking to our regional policies and priorities. Accordingly a Task and Finish Group came together under the auspices of the Regional Woodland and Forestry Forum.

See the Green Infrastructure Planning Prospectus and Technical Paper here.

Following the production of the Prospectus and the publication of technical guidance and the dissemination of both, the Green Infrastructure task group stood down.  It is anticipated that green infrastructure will in future be supported through partnership work led by Natural England and the Forestry commission utilizing task and finish groups where appropriate
