Workforce Development

Here in the West Midlands our West Midlands Forestry Framework already sets a high priority for Workforce Development and the delivery plan outlines a range of actions to carry out or commence this year.

In the light of the above it seemed timely for key players on this topic to come together to review current policy and action on Workforce Development in the West Midlands.  Accordingly a Task and Finish Group was formed under the auspices of the West Midlands Woodland and Forestry Forum.

In recent times although representatives of this Group have been playing an active role, much closer linkages have been forged with the Woodland & Forestry Industries Task Group.  For the present therefore, the work of the Task Group has been merged with their agendas and work programmes.
